Highlighting the "New" Element in Quality Projects - Observation Meeting of the Architectural Decoration Industry at Shanghai Lingang Center
2024On April 18-19, the Precision Observation and Exchange Conference of the Architectural Decoration Industry successfully concluded at the Shanghai Lingang Center. The main building observed during this event was the Shanghai Lingang Center (also known as the permanent venue for the Top Scientists Forum). Shanghai Simon Aluminum Co., Ltd., as the main material supplier, appreciated this new work together with leaders, peers, and friends, and showcased the 'new' contributions made by Shanghai Simon Aluminum for this project.

Shanghai Simon Aluminum undertook most of the high-difficulty sections. Under tight schedules and heavy tasks, the innovative ideas of the designers were fully displayed.
The exhibition hall reflects the pioneering spirit of Shanghai Simon Aluminum, which is willing to try, spare no expense, and dare to think and act. Below are three notable innovative technologies and their effects for your reference.



First 'New' -- Ultra-high seamless apple sand stainless steel wrapped columns.

Entering the exhibition hall, one is greeted by metallic interiors wrapped in silver and light champagne colors, creating an atmosphere of elegance. The most eye-catching feature is the towering metal columns. Unlike ordinary columns that require splicing, this product, exclusively developed by Shanghai Simon Aluminum, extends directly to the dome, resembling a pillar of heaven standing in the hall, tall, smooth, and clean, giving a grand sense of atmosphere.
The wrapped columns use anti-fingerprint apple sand stainless steel composite panels, reaching a height of 12 meters and a diameter of 1.3 meters. Utilizing advanced domestic bending technology, the entire column is formed in one go, with no horizontal seams in the middle, installed on-site with machinery. The giant columns complement the ultra-large span space. This technology is at the leading level in the construction industry.

Second 'New' -- Large-span three-dimensional twisted brazed honeycomb composite panels.

As shown in the figure, this indoor decorative panel is formed by approximately 70 pieces of honeycomb composite panels, each 2 meters wide and 23 meters long, combined in a way that twists around a central point, resembling fan blades, with each panel having its unique angle. This design has been recognized as a 'Key Project of Shanghai's 2022 Practical Achievements Competition.' Shanghai Simon Aluminum has perfectly presented the designer's concept, which is not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional, capable of presenting different scene requirements under varying lighting effects, resembling either a brilliant starry sky or dazzling white jade.

Third 'New' -- The most diverse dimensions and the most extensive use of molds for ceiling decoration.

The main venue simulates the expansive state of 'the roc spreading its wings and soaring into the sky,' providing infinite imaginative space for those within while enjoying the freedom of spatial dimensions. The main venue has a height of 13.8 meters and an area of 3360 square meters, accommodating 3000 people for meetings. The ceiling consists of 494 pieces of 3.0mm thick double-curved gradient diamond aluminum plate modules, with lengths ranging from 4.5 meters to 8.5 meters. Each module's end features a yacht bow arc shape formed by integrated stamping technology, with the top having an inclined arch shape and gradient holes for sound absorption and decorative sound cover.

The white inclined wall is made of 28mm thick ultra-large aluminum honeycomb composite integrated panels, with a single panel width of 2.2 meters and a height of 14 meters, classified as ultra-wide and ultra-long panels; the surface of the decorative panels is perforated to meet acoustic requirements and features a gradient diamond carved texture, with the upper end presenting a cracked gradient shape. This reflects the high processing and manufacturing craftsmanship and innovative capabilities of Simon Aluminum.
